The NC110 netbook is  Samsung trying to improve on the NC10. Now whether you think it’s an improvement depends on if you like full gloss screens (like that of the N110), or prefer matt screens (like the NC10) that don’t have to cope with reflections. The N110 differs from the NC10 primarily in that it has the shiny display common to most of today’s notebook and netbook computers.

I must admit that, call me old fashioned, but I still prefer the dull matt screen where you can watch Battlestar Galactica without the distraction of seeing everything in the room reflected behind it.

That said, this is a brilliant little netbook with the same features as the NC10 -  Samsung build quality and solidity, lightweight  (a full 50 grams or 2 ounces lighter than the NC10) but with  Intel Atom processor giving plenty of grunt when you need it, 160 gigabytes of fast on board hard disk, 1 Gig of memory and all the connectability you’ve come to expect of a Samsung netbook.

This featherweight netbook weighs in at only 1.26 kilos, so it’s no problem carrying it with you everywhere.

Great speakers, built in webcam and mic complete the package and  whatever you want to do with your N110 it’s up for it – whether it’s Skyping your mum, videoconferencing the office or watching the late great King of Pop being Bad.

And  the N110 has all the power and disk space you need for those office chores, with spreadsheets and word processing so easy using the (nearly) full size keyboard.

So there you have it. Buy a Samsung netbook. If you like a matt screen, buy the NC10, or a full gloss display plump for the N110. Either way, you’re on to a winner
